چکیده
The aim of this study was to assess the impact natural rubber tire waste charcoal (NRTWC) amendment on carbon mineralization in tea cultivated soils low country wet zone Sri Lanka. NRTWC applied at different rates (0%, 1%, 1.6%, 2.2% and 2.8% w/w) soil evaluated 10 20 weeks after treatment. Representative samples were incubated for 42 days microbial respiration determined. During first seven incubation, a rapid observed all treatments. A decline then during period from 14th 28th day incubation. No changes towards end incubation (35 days). Significant (P ≤ 0.05) differences among application noticed initial stages However, variations minimal cumulative ranged 506 1072 mg/kg taken corresponding variation changed 1730 drawn increased rapidly early stages, decreased gradually finally flattened out resulted substantial increase when compared with control. As revealed by results, decomposes slowly can be considered as sound source which could enhance sequestration degraded soils.

Soil organic carbon in pure rubber and tea-rubber plantations in South-western China
Abstract: Rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) plantation is a major land use practiced in Xishuangbanna of south-western China. Effects of rubber plantation (RP) and tea-rubber intercropping (TRI) systems on soil organic carbon pools were evaluated by recording changes in soil organic carbon in an age sequence of 12-, 20-, 26-, and 40-year old plantations. Labile organic carbon (LOC) increased in ...

The effect of fluctuating seasonal temperatures on the release of soluble NO3-N, NHJ-N, soluble organic N (SON), and solube organic C (SOC) into drainage effluent during soil organic matter mineralization was measured on organic soil profiles obtained intact from various locations in Florida. Soil columns were leached once every 25 days, followed by applying a suction of 100 cm. Soil columns we...
متن کاملThe Effect of Carbon Mineralization on Denitrification Kinetics in Mineral and Organic Soils
Rates of denitrification and organic carbon (C) mineralization were measured simultaneously in soil suspensions maintained at 30°C under anoxic conditions. Nine mineral and seven organic soils were used in the study. Disappearance of NO3~ and production of CO2 were measured at various times during the 12-day incubation. Labeled NO, was used to differentiate denitrification from immobilization a...

In this study, the presence of hazardous organic chemicals in surfaces containing recycled rubber tires is investigated. Direct material analyses using solvent extraction, as well as SPME analysis of the vapour phase above the sample, were carried out. Twenty-one rubber mulch samples were collected from nine different playgrounds. In addition, seven commercial samples of recycled rubber pavers ...

Mashhad city is located on alluvial deposits where the expanded area of this city, especially the central and eastern areas surrounding Imam Reza holy shrine, are built on weak and fine-grained deposits. Therefore, the soil improvement would be inevitable due to construction of high-rise buildings such as hotels and commercial complexes in these areas, as well as restructuring old buildin...
